This is based on a photo I took in Huế maybe 5 years ago, but which I mostly completed a few years later while living in Saigon (as an English teacher).
The image is a reflection of my sense of being while traveling and cycling, a depiction of some sort of transcendent instance (which also possesses a power or energy that could be dangerous), and an impressionistic portrait of two girls on a bike. All explanations aside, it might be better to linger on this one a while and feel it for oneself.
(Note: the shadow and background are completely fabricated to create the mood I wanted).
